Medical examinations for special purposes (e.g. elderly driver, insurance, HGV, pre-employment, fitness for sport or travel) can be provided by special arrangement. These services are not covered by the NHS and therefore incur a fee. Payment must be made before an appointment is booked or any paperwork is completed.
Current fee schedule:
- Private medical examinations: £100
- Questionnaires and forms: £40
- Home Office letters: £38
Occupational Health
The NHS does not provide occupational health assessments. However, the practice may be able to assist with certain elements on a private basis. This includes:
- Completion of occupational health forms
- Provision of vaccinations where clinically appropriate
Occupational health forms are classed as private work and may incur a fee.
Where vaccinations are clinically indicated for health reasons, these can be provided by the practice. However, vaccinations will not be provided solely for occupational health or employment requirements.
